KodeThat

Website development cost in India (2026)

What a website costs, what changes the price, and what you keep paying after launch. Every figure on this page is KodeThat's own published price.

The short answer

At KodeThat, a small business website of up to 5 pages costs ₹25,000. A site of up to 15 pages with custom design and a blog costs ₹60,000. A portal, marketplace or online store with logins and payments starts at ₹1,20,000. Prices are starting prices. Your final price, taxes and timeline are confirmed in your written quote before work starts. Timelines are typical and depend on scope and on how quickly we receive your content and approvals.

These are our prices. Other agencies and freelancers in India charge differently, so treat them as one reference point. The figures below come from our pricing page and change when it does.

What drives the cost of a website

  • •Number of pages: More pages mean more design, more content to place and more testing. It is the main difference between our Starter tier (up to 5 pages, ₹25,000) and our Growth tier (up to 15 pages, ₹60,000).
  • •Custom design or a template: A template is a ready-made layout. It is quicker to set up, but your site will look like many others. Custom design means layouts made for your brand and your content, which takes more time. Our Starter tier includes a mobile-responsive design. Custom UI/UX design is part of the Growth tier.
  • •E-commerce and online payments: A store needs product pages, a cart, a payment gateway such as Razorpay, order handling and more testing. On our price list, e-commerce and payments are part of the Enterprise tier, which starts at ₹1,20,000. Payment gateways also charge a fee on each transaction. That fee is separate from the build cost.
  • •Integrations: Every connection to another system adds work. Examples are WhatsApp, Google Analytics, a booking tool, a CRM or your own software. Our Growth tier includes Google Analytics and WhatsApp and social integrations. Custom API integrations are part of the Enterprise tier.
  • •Logins, dashboards and a custom backend: If customers or staff need to sign in, or the site needs its own database, it becomes a web application. That is a bigger build. On our price list it falls under the Enterprise tier.
  • •Content: Someone has to write the text and supply the photos. If you have them ready, the build moves faster. If you need product photos, ask us to quote for product photography. If you need the text written, ask for it to be listed in the quote.
  • •SEO: Starter includes basic SEO setup. Growth adds advanced SEO and schema markup. SEO after launch is ongoing work and is priced separately. Our Digital Marketing plan starts at ₹15,000 a month plus ad spend.
  • •Revisions and support: Starter includes 1 round of revisions and 3 months of support after launch. Growth includes 3 rounds of revisions and 6 months of support. Enterprise includes 12 months of support and maintenance.

Recurring costs after launch

The build is a one-time cost. A few costs come back every month or year. Plan for them before you compare quotes.

CostHow oftenWhat you pay
Domain nameEvery yearPaid to your domain registrar. The price depends on the registrar and the ending, such as .com or .in.
HostingMonthly or yearlyIncluded in our Website Care Plan at ₹3,000 a month.
Maintenance and updatesMonthly₹3,000 a month with our Website Care Plan.
Payment gateway feesPer transactionCharged by the gateway on each payment, for online stores only.

Our Website Care Plan costs ₹3,000 a month. It covers hosting, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, monthly content and image changes, and speed and SEO health checks. It works even if we did not build your site.

App development cost in India

At our prices, an app costs more than a website. Besides the app itself, it needs a backend, an admin panel and submission to the Play Store or App Store. These are our app prices. More detail is on our app development page.

How to compare quotes

  • Get the number of pages and the list of features in writing. Two quotes for a "5-page website" can cover very different work.
  • Ask whether the design is custom or based on a template.
  • Ask who owns the domain, the hosting account and the code after launch.
  • Check how many rounds of revisions are included.
  • Check what support you get after launch, for how long, and what changes cost after that.
  • Ask for every recurring cost: domain, hosting, maintenance, and any paid plugins or tools.
  • Ask for the delivery date and the payment schedule.
  • Look at sites the agency has built and check that they are live and load well on a phone.
